If you are Interested in becoming a vendor at the Atlanta Braves Farmers Market, you start here!
Vendor Application Process
If you are interested in joining our vendor community with the Atlanta Braves Farmers Market, here are a few steps that are important to know. If selected, please know you will be working at Cool Today Park, Spring Training Home of the Atlanta Braves, one of the most iconic brands in Major League Baseball.
The only way vendors are selected for the ABFM is to be on the waiting list by sending in your Vendor Application!
The first thing you should do is to fill out the vendor application, click on “Vendor Application” button below. Please printout the application, fill it out, and then scan it and e-mail it to the e-mail listed on the application, or simply send it to the P.O. Box on the app via regular mail.
But first, at the bottom of the application you will see spaces that ask for you to list any sales tax licenses, and permits that you are required to attain prior to starting in the market. If you do not already have these documents, please place “Pending” on that line and then send in your app. There is really no need to spend time and/or money attaining documents before having a start date in the market.
The permits are specific to the type of product you bring to the market as they may be agricultural or food related. Simply access this info at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services website at www.freshfromflorida.com
You also must have a business tax receipt from Sarasota County which you may apply for at the Sarasota County Tax Department a 4000 S. Tamiami Trail Venice, FL 34293. These documents are not used for the purpose of collecting tax from you. They are required for any business operating in the county and/or city where the market is located. Please note that required certificate of insurance information is located in the Vendor Handbook!
The very next thing you should do is to read the Vendor Handbook. This will answer most questions vendors will have about the market including insurance requirements, rates, space sizes, and operating rules. There are four entities that will need to be “additionally insured” for the ABFM which means that each one will need to have a certificate of insurance on file. The names and addresses of these entities are located in the vendor handbook. Please make sure that your insurance agent uses this information to create the COI, mails it to the address listed and then e-mails a PDF digital copy to the ABFM e-mail address for our files.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me via phone 941-445-9209 or via our website contact form
